I ended up resorting to the registry hack too, after trying START>>(right click) Computer>>Manage>>Disc Management to rename the offending drive letters. If I can find it again I will post the link to the site from Microsoft. Changed Z, X, Y to R, S, T, rebooted and that appears to have fixed it, Drive Image opens with not errors. Hi, I changed all the drives to different letters. Clearing the Open recent memory is the better solution. Disabled the card reader, the error disappeared. By a process of elimination I discovered that it would only appear when my card reader was plugged into a USB port.

When I got the error message I clicked on IGNORE three or four times to clear the pop-up ( and generating a beep each time). I use Trend Office SCan 8.
