Of course I used the Windows XP Decoder checkup utility to verify I had the proper codec installed as most forums pointed to this as the fix. Then I started Media Center and tried the live TV and I got a error about the decoder already in use by another application. Shouldn't Windows itself have it's Windows Media Video codec already installed? Media Center component registration may have failed.2. Source
