Can I repair Windows Media Center? Just more logs like what I previously posted from time periods before the main one I posted. Hoping but not holding my breath for a future Windows update to fix what has been broken. have a peek here Thanks but this didn't work either - I tried it even though it seemed like it was for solving tuner issues.

I disabled media center's beeps/sounds through media center's settings.
The other workaround is to disable navigation sounds for media center. Is it possible to reinstall Media Foundation on its own? I have... No idea why it worked for a year and then stopped, but the solution was to change how the audio is handled.
