Like others mentioned there is no problem with the driver or dvd drive firmware etc. If you have a Blu-ray drive and are trying to play a Blu-ray disc in Windows Media Player, the same thing applies. My next guess would to reinstall the MPEG-2 Decoder you have installed if possible as it sounds like Nero has it's own MPEG-2 Decoder that messed that install up.
