seeing has it had a built in defrag tool.   selected the offending hdd and selected defrag only,   being vista i new it was going to be pretty tidy.. We've identified everyone has this issue....now someone, please post a solution  that works for all...anyone? From what I read, the ‘cyclic redundancy check' is a ‘game over' thing. I used Turtle wax. If you get this error try it out leave it as it is in frozen mode and windows should fix by itself, try it, if it does not work you always I don't know about this one I didn't try it but if it happen again I will.
